Another Day

The days are going by fast, which is good. There aren't any more group tours or anything so everyone just kind of chills in the hotel. We got a cab to go to Beijing Road and shopped a little bit... and you know I (michelle) have absolutely no problem with that! (I know I need help) Here are some pics from the playroom... everyone's favorate hangout. Its fun being there because everyone gets to chat, gossip, meet & learn about new people, and play with their children at the same time.

Just Some Stuff...

Leah Laughing...

This is a Barbie that the hotel left in our room! Its a China Adoption Barbie with her Chinese Baby!! The baby has little asian eyes and everything!

Sunglasses that barely go around her head...

Yayy!!

Leah Walked 27 Steps Today.... By Herself!!!

There is a playroom in our hotel. Its a big space - all carpet and toys. She napped for 4 hours... and played in the playroom for 2 hours. We knew she could... she was just always scared to walk by herself. I wish we would have taped it. We are going to be spending a lot of our free time in that playroom.

By the way our hotel in Guangzou is amazing. There are shops, many restaurants with very good food. Our hotel in Nanjing wasn't terrible, but there really wasn't much to do- the days we spent there felt so long. Now we know that these next 5 days are going to go by fast and we are verryyy happy.

This is the four of us saying goodbye to Veronica in the Airport in Nanjing... The best guide ever! We love her!

Leahs 1st plane ride...

The next morning at breakfast in the hotel...

Hah..The baby carrier was too small...

At the Chen Family's Temple...

These kids were sooooooo cute!! They just ambushed us and they are all saying stuff like.. "I am learning Enlgish... My name is ___. May I please have you're name?... What's you favorite color?" ... and just stuff like that. I asked them "How are you?" and they're like "I am fine. And you?" haha.. so cute!. They all had little notebooks and asked us to write our names in it. I felt like a movie star and I was giving kids an autograph! We were with a group going to dinner and we were the only family who stopped to talk to them. We had to leave to catch up with the group, so we left. We're going to go back and hope to find them again!

Thats a dead snake in there! They put it in alive and they just drown it in the liquor. Supposedly it psychologically heals you. It helps you muscles and limbs.. and I dont know what...

Cheers!

How manly...

In her PJ's...

P.S. Happy Birthday Chris!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

4th of July!

Today we went to Xuanwu Park and rented a verryy slow boat for an hour. Leah didn't find it too interesting. She played a little and then she feel asleep for like, 10 minutes. It was very, very, hot so the group left 15 minutes earlier.

When we got back to the hotel, everyone went in the pool.

She was very sleepy and she was screaming for about 10 minutes while we were trying to get her to fall asleep. The three of us passed her around to see if she would fall asleep until we gave her to Dee Dee and the only way she would sleep was in this position...

If she tried to move her, she would cry. So Dee Dee just let her rest her head on her hand.
